Greinke is really good, but KC is not a good fit for a trade. He is part of a core of players who have improved KC. Greinke would be too expensive.

A better option is Max Scherzer of Arizona. Also 24, he has less major league experience but a huge upside. Arizona would require major talent for him, but they are loaded at pitchers. They need big hitters. A deal might be able to be worked out around Salty, Vallejo or Mayberry.

What if Kevin Kouzmanoff is included in the deal for Jake Peavy?

Does that make a package of Chris Davis, Neftali Feliz, Elvus Andrus & Taylor Teagarden worth it?

My brother follows the Padres here in SoCal and he says Peavy's got a "million dollar arm and a ten cent head" ala Luke Laloosh. Wouldn't want to give up all that good young talent for that kind of pitcher. I like the Greinke and Cain talent better.
