Current raffle/auction prize list for Newberg Report Night.

Here's the current prize list for the August 13 Newberg Report Night raffle and auction -- all proceeds will go to benefit the Richard Durrett Family Fund.  David and Donna Gamble of PPG Investments are the title sponsors of the event, and local estate planning lawyer Don Wiley has stepped up to help sponsor the event as well. 


RAFFLE

For every $10 you donate to the Richard Durrett Family Fund upon arrival on the 13th, you will get one ticket for the raffle.  Whoever makes the largest donation that day (in the form of raffle tickets bought) will get his or her choice of any of the raffle prizes.  The remaining prizes will be raffled off by drawing.

AUCTION

We’ll also have a number of special items to put up for a quick live auction (conducted by Bret Richards of Hudson & Marshall Auctioneers and For Your Benefit Auctions), with all proceeds going to the Richard Durrett Family Fund.  The auction items will include the following (again, there could be changes): 

·         Four MLB-authenticated caps worn by Joakim Soria, Neal Cotts, Robinson Chirinos, and Michael Choice in the Rangers-Tigers game in May honoring the Negro League’s Texas Black Panthers

·         An "MVP ride" on the field with Rangers Captain that night, plus a visit to Chuck Morgan's booth 

·         An “all-access, behind the scenes” experience at a Rangers home game with field reporter Emily Jones

·         A second “all-access, behind the scenes” experience at a Rangers home game with field reporter Emily Jones

·         Rangers/Angels package: Four tickets to the Saturday, August 16 Rangers-Angels game, PLUS four tickets to the Wednesday, September 10 Rangers-Angels game, between home plate and third base

·         Four tickets to August 21 Frisco RoughRiders game, with all-you-eat passes (includes beer and wine) and VIP parking pass  

·         Four tickets to August 30 Frisco RoughRiders game, including on-field access for batting practice 

·         Four tickets to the Friday, September 12 Rangers-Braves game, behind third base

·         Four tickets to the Saturday, September 13 Rangers-Braves game in Row B next to the Rangers' dugout (includes tickets for Capital One Club pregame buffet plus parking pass)

·         A complete set of Newberg Report Bound Editions (14 volumes)


I’m asked every year if folks not attending the event can submit auction bids.  We can’t do that, as we consider the auction to be a benefit for those who have paid to attend.  You can certainly send in donations to the Richard Durrett Family Fund if you’d like, however.

Scott Lucas
